After visiting the Bitterroot Valley in the summer of 2000, Ron and Kathy Valentine decided they wanted to call that place home. The beautiful mountains and an active horse community with friendly people were reason enough for them to relocate their business, "Heart-Centered Horsemanship", from Mount Vernon, Washington to Victor, Montana.
Ron and Kathy completed John Lyons 10 month horse training certification program and were chosen by John to be a part of his select trainer group; selected because of their proven ability to teach people and horses his methods. They have over 35 years combined experience in the horse world and have been training horses, teaching people horsemanship, apprenticing horse trainers, doing demonstrations at horse symposiums, and conducting horse/rider clinics all over the U.S. They have successfully trained a world champion quarter horse and enjoy starting horses, solving problems and teaching people about natural horsemanship. Heart-Centered Horsemanship exists to teach people and horses how to develop a cooperative relationship based on mutual trust, understanding and respect which, Ron and Kathy believe, benefits both the horse and horse owner.
